I remember when I was diagnosed (June this year) they wanted to do a
scan and I battled them all the way.
I turned out to be easy. I only took pills and they took pictures 6 hrs.
later. Then I had to go back two days later and they did it again.
Totally painless. What are your fears? I think my biggest fear was not
knowing what they'd find. Fear of the unknown is the hardest to deal
with. A few weeks ago they did the IP131 and I'm now waiting to go the
other way.
The whole Graves Disease thing is scary, but there are many people here
on the bulletin board who can offer insight and support.
