TED Care Program from University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center!
Posted 5 years, 11 months agoUniversity of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center has rolled out a new TED Care program, which will help thyroid eye disease patients with financial need pay for treatment! Please click here for additional detail on the program as well as contact information for enrolling.
This new program was made possible by an anonymous donation of $1.5 million from a UM patient. The program is also funded by the Bell Charitable Foundation, long-time supporters of the GDATF. “TED presents multiple physical and emotional challenges to our patients," says oculoplastics surgeon Raymond S. Douglas, M.D., Ph.D., director of Kellogg’s Thyroid Eye Disease Center. "Once the most pronounced symptoms of TED have subsided, our patients want to get back to feeling like the person they were before the onset of the disease. We are grateful for this gift, which will allow many more patients to have reconstructive surgery to help them move forward with their lives.”
